What makes a good Swiss CV?
A Swiss CV usually fits on one or two A4 pages, with the most recent experience first. Clearly list your work experience, education, language skills and other skills. A professional photo is common in many sectors, but optional. Tailor your CV to the role and send it as a PDF.
A strong CV for the Swiss job market follows a few clear conventions. A photo is optional; if you use one, choose a recent, professional image. Language skills matter, so describe them using the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
List your most recent experience first. Experienced professionals usually put work experience before education; graduates and people starting their careers can highlight their education first. Include dates, your role, the employer, location and key responsibilities for each position.
Focus on what matters: recruiters often skim a CV first. Aim for one or two clear A4 pages, explain your career timeline and export a clean PDF. In Switzerland, references are often provided on request.
CV Easy supports these Swiss conventions with CEFR language levels, A4 layouts and ATS-friendly PDF export.
Usually one or two A4 pages. Keep your CV concise and easy to read, and send it as a PDF. Follow any file-size limit set by the employer.
Use CEFR levels, such as B1 or C2, rather than just “good” or “fluent”. They make your language skills easier to understand internationally.
Start with your latest role.
Keep work experience, education and other sections well structured and easy to scan.
